Iran’s rebellious youth conduct 50 operations to avenge martyrs of January uprising

2026-02-13 - 22:26

In a defiant response to the clerical regime’s brutal crackdown on the recent nationwide uprising, the Rebellious Youth have launched a wave of 50 operations across Iran. These actions, targeting the regime’s apparatus of suppression and propaganda, serve as a direct message that the killing of thousands of protesters has not silenced the Iranian people’s demand for regime change. The recent wave of operations comes in the aftermath of the bloody winter of 2025. What began on December 28, 2025, as an economic stoppage by bazaari shopkeepers and merchants in central Tehran quickly evolved into a political firestorm that spread across Iran. The slogans rapidly shifted from livelihood grievances to explicitly anti-regime rhetoric, challenging the very legitimacy of the system and calling for regime change. The regime responded with characteristic brutality, opening fire on protesters and killing thousands of civilians. Yet, rather than subduing the population, this violence has fueled a new phase of organized resistance. Targeting the engines of suppression The Rebellious Youth have focused their retribution on the specific institutions responsible for the crackdown. In a coordinated series of actions, they carried out incendiary attacks against IRGC Basij bases used to suppress women and students. In Tehran, Shahriar, Varamin, and Kerman, bases tasked with enforcing the regime’s repressive codes were set on fire. In Shahriar, the command headquarters of the suppressive State Security Force was also targeted. Furthermore, the youth struck at the regime’s intelligence infrastructure. In Rasht, Qazvin, and Kermanshah, the directory signs for the IRGC Basij intelligence espionage units and the Ministry of Intelligence were set ablaze, challenging the regime’s network of surveillance and fear. Burning the icons of tyranny In parallel with attacks on physical bases, the Rebellious Youth set fire to the symbols of the regime’s leadership. Across the country, banners and billboards featuring regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei, the eliminated terror master Qassem Soleimani, and the executioner Ebrahim Raisi were set on fire. In Tehran, Mashhad, Qazvin, Kerman, Bojnurd, Khorramshahr, and Mahshahr, symbols of Qassem Soleimani were burned, rejecting the regime’s attempt to heroize its terror network. In Ahvaz, Zahedan, Sabzevar, Iranshahr, and Dorud, youth torched images of Khamenei and regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini. Notably, in Zahedan, a banner attempting to honor regime casualties was destroyed, signaling the people’s total rejection of the regime’s narrative. The continued activities and defiance of the rebellious youth show that no matter how much brutality and violence the regime resorts to, the people will not be deterred in their goal to overthrow the despotic rule of the mullahs and establish democracy.
